Next Luncheon June 14

The next Chamber Network Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, June 14.
Guest Speaker:
Chastiddy Bryant, Community Development Director for the Town of Blackstone

Chastiddy will be discussing the plans for the Armory as a hospitality training center in conjunction with two local colleges. She will also be discussing the grants to refurbish a blighted building on Main Street for student housing.

Southside Virginia 100 Mile Yard Sale

Yard Sale Time: 8 AM
Location: Downtown Blackstone Town Square and Throughout Town

Details: On May 23, 2023 Blackstone Chamber of Commerce (BCoC) requested and received approval from Town Council to have yard sale fees waived for all Blackstone residences wishing to participate as part of the July 1st, 2023 Southside Virginia's 100 Mile Yard Sale.

The Chamber has also requested the Blackstone Square for use during the yard sale. If you are off the beaten path, or don't have a yard where you can setup to sell, you may contact the BCoC by email at blackstonevachamber@gmail.com or call (434) 294-0280. You must supply your own tables, chairs, tents, etc. and any trash you generate you must also take out with you. Tents brought in should be limited to 10x10. There is no charge to sell in the square. Donations will be accepted for anyone who wishes to contribute towards entertainment and clean up. The BCoC hopes to have music during a portion of the time the yard sale is running.

For those holding yard sales at their homes, please let the BCoC know as we will be working to coordinate a list of addresses to assist those looking for bargains to find you.
